Alexandra Kind
School Admin

Alex attended full time theatre school from the age of four first at Corona Academy (now Ravencourt Theatre School) and then at Sylvia Young Theatre School. Whilst at school Alex worked in theatre, tv and film and extensively in voiceover and radio work. She completed her studies with a 3 year performance arts course.

Alex manages the day to day running of the school and is always on hand to exercise her drama teaching skills if cover is needed.


Anna-Maria Everett
Drama & Pre-School Drama

Anna-Maria is a classically trained Actress & graduate of The Academy Drama School with a versatile body of work in Theatre, Television & Film, spanning over 22 years. She is currently playing Mother Superior in a new 10 part Comedy-Drama, Apocalypse Slough, which will air on Sky1 in the Autumn.

With over 12 years experience as a Drama Teacher, Anna-Maria has taught at Pollyanna for the last 8 years, leading the 3-16 yr olds in both their Drama Workshops & LAMDA Exams. Since September 2014 she delivered the Pre-School Drama class, for the 3-5 year olds, as the Drama Workshop Leader. She also regularly leads master-classes in 'Getting Work' for the undergraduates at some of London's leading adult drama schools.

She is also Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Trilogies Stage Company


Nicolette Morrison
College Drama

Most recently performing at the Riverside Studios, Nicolette first trained at The Actors Centre ( Sydney, Australia), followed by a BA in Acting at the Drama Centre in London. With a wide range of credits including performances in both television & theatre, Nicolette has undertaken roles in both drama, comedy, pantomime & musicals. She has taught at Pollyanna for many years, teaching both LAMDA and acting classes to the older students.

A selection of her credits are: Anneh, Concrete Jungle (Riverside Studios), Roberta, Danny * The Deep Blue Sea (Theatre Thule at Austerbaer, Rejkavik and Etcetera, London) and Dusty, Party Time (Sydney, Australia).

Ian McFarlane

Ian is a director and writer currently preparing for the West End productions of his brand new version of Sherlock. He is also developing a new piece with fellow Olivier Winner Sue Scott Davison for production in December 2016. Prior to working as a writer and director, Ian trained as an actor at the GSA Conservatoire.

Ian's Directing Credits include: - Shorts By... (Soho Theatre) Hello, Dolly! (Guildford School of Acting), The Wizard Of Oz (Dance House, Manchester), The Women (Hextable Theatre), Nine (The Albany), Summit And Nowt (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), Zombie Prom (The Landor) and Kiss Me Kate.


Katherine Whaymand

Graduating from Queen Mary, University of London with a first class degree in Drama, Katherine is a past pupil of Pollyanna, and credits both Angie & Alex for helping her develop her love of the theatrical world. Katherine has worked for Pollyanna Training Theatre for the past 8 years, teaching classes & directing shows across all ages.


Clare Cochrane
Musical Director

Clare trained at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts, graduating with a BA (Hons) Music Performing Arts degree in 2005.  Clare grew up near Manchester where she has performed professionally since the age of 16, including a lead role in a brand new musical at The Lowry. After performing abroad Clare decided to make the move to London to continue to pursue her career in music and acting. Having performed in musical theatre, and fronting rock and soul bands, she has now applied these experiences to her vocal coaching. Currently working as a session singer recording RnB, musical theatre and rock tracks, Clare also teaches from her home studio and runs an adult Glee Club with her company Grace Notes Entertainment. Having written her own songs since the age of 10, Clare now collaborates with Angela Kindell in the writing of Pollyana’s original song material.

Alice Harwood

Alice started her professional training at The Urdang Academy of Ballet and Performing Arts in Covent Garden, where she qualified with a Diploma in Musical Theatre and a Teaching Associate in Modern Dance. Alice went on to dance, teach and choreograph for a company in Malta. On her return, she auditioned for the Moulin Rouge in Paris and spent a year doing the Can Can! Her dream job!

Alice also performed on a cruise ship around South East Asia, China and Japan before returning to London and starting work at Pollyanna Training Theatre. Over the years she has also trained in Reflexology and Indian Head Massage. At present, Alice is in the process of completing her DDI (Diploma in Dance Instruction) with the Imperial Teachers of Dance.

Alice is married with 4 girls, all of which have attended Pollyanna and have loved every minute of it!

Ruth Petersen

Ruth trained at The London School of Musical Theatre and most recently played Daisy Buchanan in The Great Gatsby. Other roles include; Charlotte in The Wodehouse Principle (Upstairs at the Gatehouse), Leonie in The Madam (Tour), Dick in Dick Whittington (Lyric Carmarthen),  Hero u/s & Helen in The Women of Troy (Blue Elephant), Natalie in Bright Lights & Big City (Bridewell).
